To better understand and unpack decisions of the General Conference (GC) of the United Methodist Church (UMC) made earlier this year, the churches of the 210 Corridor are gathering with our District Superintendent, the Reverend Dr. Johnsie Cogman, on Saturday, September 14, 2024 from 3-5pm at Metropolitan United Methodist Church~Indian Head, 3385 Metropolitan Church Road in Indian Head, MD 20640.
The General Conference is the every four years, global meeting of delegates from the entire UMC who gather in one place for 2 weeks to discern and determine the mission, ministry and vision of the church as supported by an approved budget. The GC is the only body of the UMC that can officially speak for the people known as United Methodists.
